ANOTHER TASK FOR YOU

Hi my dear students, here it is another task that you are going to do.  The ones that are participating in the Congreso de Prepa 2 are exempted, but if they want to, they can be part of this too.

Inglés Avanzado: 
1.  Podrán  participar  todos  los  alumnos  de  la  Escuela  Nacional  Preparatoria  inscritos  en  los  Grupos especiales de Inglés Avanzado. 
2.  La participación será individual. 
3.  Los profesores asesores serán quienes se encarguen de llevar a cabo la selección y la inscripción de los participantes al concurso la cual se realizarán en línea, en la página WEB de la ENP, a partir de las 09:00 horas del lunes 16 de enero y hasta las 14:00 horas del viernes 3 de febrero de 2012, de acuerdo con las Bases Generales. 
4.  La etapa local se llevará a cabo en cada plantel en la fecha que se designe. Habrá un jurado formado por un representante de la Dirección y tres profesores de Inglés Avanzado del Colegio de Inglés, en presencia del coordinador de la asignatura. 
5.  Los temas que se considerarán para efectos del concurso serán los siguientes: 
1. Clonación
2. Calentamiento global
3. Alimentos  transgénicos
4. Educación  en  países  en  vías  de  desarrollo
5. Tecnologías  de información y comunicación
6. Valores en la sociedad contemporánea
7. Globalización
8. Sobrepoblación y
9. Explotación de los recursos naturales. 


6.  El alumno participante se encargará de realizar la investigación pertinente respecto a todos los temas que se  evaluarán  en  el  concurso,  quien  deberá  ser  asesorado  por  el  profesor  que  realice  su  inscripción  al mismo. 
7.  El coordinador leerá las reglas antes de empezar el concurso. 
8.  El alumno participante deberá desarrollar frente al jurado un tema específico de los enlistados en el punto cinco. 
9.  Los temas serán repartidos por sorteo en el momento del concurso. 
10. El  concurso  es  oral,  y  no  se  permitirá  el  uso  de  notas,  apuntes  o  cualquier  otro  apoyo  de  tipo  escrito  o electrónico. 
11. El tiempo de presentación del tema asignado tendrá una duración mínima de un minuto y máxima de tres minutos.

12. Los  aspectos  a  evaluar  para  efectos  del  concurso  serán  los  siguientes: pronunciación,  fluidez,  coherencia, contenido, gramática, y léxico con una escala mínima de 1 (uno) y máxima de 5 (cinco). 
13. La decisión del jurado será inapelable. 
14. Se deberá enviar a la jefatura del Departamento de Inglés de la ENP el acta del primer lugar obtenido por cada plantel. 
La  final  interpreparatoriana  se llevará a cabo  el  miércoles 7 de  marzo  de 2012, a  las 14:00  horas,  en la  sala de la Biblioteca del plantel 6 “Antonio Caso”, ubicado en Corina N° 3, Colonia Del Carmen, Delegación Coyoacán. 


Analyze the Convocatoria and  check the themes you are interested in so we can distribute them according to each one preferences.


By the way, there is a limit for students and for teachers to participate.  Students can participate in just two Contest and teachers only can register 10 of all their groups, so it is going to be limited.

THE WORK FOR THIS FIRST PARTIAL

Hi guys, we have only 4 sessions more to have the elements to give you a grade for this partial. So, what you have to do.

September 29, 2011.
1. You are going to explore the site http://www.yudu.com/ to check the articles and to give you ideas about your work.

2. You are going to talk with your partners and then, you have to decide if you are going to work alone or with a partner. In any case, each of you have to do a blog in which you are going to collect that information. You have to write on the blog of our Course the URL of your blog for me to check it. 3. Decide a theme you are going to research to do your article.

4. You have to present to me at least 5 web sites in which you are going to search the information for the elaboration of your article.

5. You are going to show me a draft of your work. It must be posted in your blog and you have to print it and take it to our class to check it and in any case, to make some corrections. It must contain:
- Title
- Introduction
- Body
- Conclusions
- References.

October 20, 2011.
6. You are going to deliver to me the final article with the corrections in printed as well as in digital form, you  have to have it in your blog.
This meeting we are going to have it in room D105 when we are going to check as editors, the works of all of you, so bring your work printed with 10 copies to work on them.

WELCOME TO THIS ADVANCED ENGLISH COURSE

Welcome to this site created especially for you. Here we are going to share ideas and to receive input for the work you are going to do throughout the year.

I have some options for you.
To do some research work, to do an E-Magazine. In both cases, with that work the aim is to participate in the Congreso de las Ciencias y las Humanidades in Prep No. 2.

In case we decide in our first meeting the first option, I will write here the tasks you are going to be doing and I will give you some sites for you to investigate.

We have to follow some rules.
1. This course begins on September 22nd and finishes on April 12th, 2012.
2. Your attendance is compulsory. If one day you have a problem to attend, please let me know in advance so we can organize your work.
3. Your behaviour is very important for the nature of the course.
4. I will give your teachers your grades, so you have to work properly and to do your tasks on time.
5. If you miss more than 3 classes, you are going to be out from the course.

Welcome again to this experience and I hope we will learn a lot and we will share our doubts, comments and interests and of course we will have fun.
